"It must have been a pretty ambitious thing to operate an old sewing machine"

That's what I thought. OK, I had my belated birthday celebration yesterday. So, I decided to make some small gifts for my friends, since there're only eight of us.. it should be a hassle. Just wanted to keep it simple, so, made som choc chip cookies

Recipe
110g butter
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 cup AP flour
1 cup self-raising flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
3/4 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup of nuts (if u like)

Preheat oven to 190 C. Cream buter, sugar and brown sugar together until light and fluffy. You might wanna soften the butter first, like take it out from the fridge an hour before u make. It'll be easier to beat. Add egg and beat thoroughly.

Sift in flour, salt and baking soda into mixture and beat. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts (if u have). Grease baking sheet. Roll teasponfuls of mixture into balls, place on bking sheets and press with a fork.

Depending on the size of your cookies, it should be baked from about 10 - 20 minutes.





and then for the casing of the cookies, i didn't have much material, since i only started whipping up the ingredietns at 4pm.. So, I got some tracing paper, cut them .. and sew them!!


I havent touched a sewing machine for years already.. i'd say about 5 or 6 ?? AND I'm pretty proud of myself that it was not a threat to me.. ahhahahaha. like seriously, actually, it's quite easy to use... HAHAHA (I'm so proud because I think, nearly all my friends were impressed when i said i sew the paper bags )

and stickers !! hahaha, u know, truthfully, I used to collect stickers when i was younger (in primary school).. So those stickers are probably 10 years old already!! Believe it or not !

	Riana October 29, 2006   06:45 AM PST   Oh wow, I love chocolate chips cookies. The simpler the better. I envy you three. I used to have 2 baking friends when I was in elementary school. We baked together almost every week. Oh, how fun!! Now they're career women, and I'm left being the only one who still bakes like crazy. I miss them so much!!
