This is my very own version of chocolate banana cake. There is no chocolate chocolate topping or any cream sandwich between the cakes. This is my spontaneous creation after indulging a couple of banana in a Saturday afternoon after the half day of work. Since there was no whipping cream at home, i neglected the cream part and used the brownies recipe for my cake but i modified the recipe abit and added banana too. First of all, i melted the cooking chocolate and this was how it looked like.
Then, i beat the eggs and sugar till its fluffy.
Then, i mixed the chocolate and the egg mixture.
Of course, i have to add flour as well.
Then, this was how it looked like in the baking mould. I arranged the banana slices on top.
The banana slices got burnt but the cake still turned out yummy. How could chocolate be wrong right? Chocolate is always delicious and tempting.
Oh, by the way, i added banana slices in the cake as well. Although the banana slices on the top were burnt , they were not bitter. Whereas the banana slices in the cake were still moist and rather fresh. Omg, i forgot...i am not supposed to indulge on too much fatty food at the moment. Shhh....i'll try to remember tomorrow...

Since work started, i started gaining weight. I do not know why but my working pants are getting tight. So, i guess, i should reduce supper-ing because to stop supper completely sounds impossible. Reduce or cut down supper would be a better option. Hehe.. Look at what we've got for our dinner... hehe... our very 'dietic' dinner since Jiamin (my uni mate) and myself gained weight after we started working. Jiamin gained x kg and i gained *2* kg. *shake head* Please guess our dinner...???
Well, its Earthquake! Yes, Swensen's Earthquake! Sorry, we couldnt resist Earthquake. It was a Tuesday and there's 50% off every Tuesday for Earthquake treat in Swensen. But, since there was no rice, we considered Earthquake as our diet dinner. Instead of eating rice and well, rice is not supposed to go with rice, we ordered Fries. Haha..There were 8 scoops of ice-cream! Haha...for the two of us...and we are ice-cream lovers. You know what, Anderson's ice creams are really good!!! Check it out! and the NewZealand ice cream in 1-U and Ikano, which i've forgotten the name, has very good hazelnut ice-cream! Yummy! Let's not divert the topic. Back to Swensen. I love the Sticky Chocolate and Strawberry and the Lime Sherbet and the Cookie n Cream and Chocolate Malt and everything. Haha....
Look at how satisfied we were....Haha...*tomorrow only diet lar...tomorrow Earthquake got no more 50%... so tomorrow we will kurang makan 2-bijik rice* ^sorry for the poor quality photos. they were only 1 megapixel. what do you expect? a hp camera!^

This entry is supposed to be up a week ago but due to my procastination, this entry is delayed. By the way, this sweetcorn pudding was made by me after work. I dont know why but suddenly i have the craving for sweetcorn. Haha..*drop the details* Let's see how it goes. Sorry, i couldnt give you the recipe coz i dont even know what i've used and how much i've added. Whatever i see in my kitchen, i just dumped everything in the pot. Well, provided the ingredients are needed for the pudding. First, boil the syrup. Not too much of sugar! *blurp blurp blurp* haha..not burping! its the water boiling sound effect!
Then, add 'gula melaka' to make the gula melaka layer underneath the sweet corn layer. Look....the layer goes this way......
Looking ok right? Next, proceed to the upper layer. Boil the sugar syrup again and add cream corn.
Opps, i forgot to remind you that you should add agar agar powder in the lower layer as well as the upper layer too. Hehe...sorry for my clumsiness! Then, top up with the sweet corn layer.
Chill it and cut to serve!
Ta Da....! *Mission Accomplished*

He did this Peppermint Pinwheels.. which were really cute. actually i voted him for the cookie swap thingy. and he's one of the 12 winners too!! ha. i dint do Peppermint, but instead i tried with Yam here's the original Recipe here's my version 1 cup butter
!!!
the first time i cut it apart, it's not really chilled yet.. so i put into the fridge again
cut cut cut cut...
after bakin in the oven for about 15 -17 minutes..
Yam Shortbread Pinwheels. i think it's too thick.. so maybe next time i will roll thinner... tsk
Vanilla Shortbread Pinwheels. i think if this was green tea flavoured then it would be nice.. tsk tsk
so.. i guess this would be one of the cookies for Chinese New Year !! yahoooo but, the yam flavouring wasnt strong enough. next time i should add more. it smelled good before baking, but after that, it became a normal butter shortbread.. heheh and.. need to roll the mixture thinner.. so that it swirls more.. :P
xoxo
p/s:oh yeah, if u actually noticed, i've arranged the links and recipes in categories.. better isnt' it ??

the food's quite reasonable and they dont have service tax or govt tax, the service was good also, the waitress explained everything on the menu.. ahhahaha for the Kimuchi Ramen, it's RM 13.90 and for the Chicken Teriyaki set, it's RM 16.90.. but its really big in portion.. and taste good too !! but the thing is, they close at 3pm and opens again at.. 5pm or 6pm.. and odd people like us eats lunch at 2pm.. ahah... so we dint hang out long there ...

it was quite a spontaneous baking session..i found some recipes online and thought of trying it..while deb on the other hand did her signature cheesecake..chin hun was just helping us out here and there..she was our multi-purpose helper of the day..hehe..
there was quite a number of panic moments yesterday..but it all turn out good..first it was the ingredients for the crust..i needed shortening (i didn't know what it was at 1st) and i did not buy it..so when i arrived at deb's place..i panic and searched frantically online for a crust recipe.. Apple Crumble Pie Ingredients:
Arrange apple slices in unbaked pie shell. Mix 1/2 cup sugar and the cinnamon; sprinkle over apples. Mix 1/3 cup sugar with flour; cut in butter until crumbly. Spoon mixture over apples. Bake at 400 for 35-40 minutes, or until done. Crust Ingredients: Directions: a smooth ride in the kitchen while preparing all the ingredients turn into havoc when the crust mixture turn ugly..instead of adding 1/2cup of butter we added 1 1/2cup of it..due to *ahem's reading error..haha..the dough look like a lump of ugly fat..
because it was our first time making a pie dough..well, that did not turn out all pretty too.. then..the apples that i bought turn out to be too many..haha..and it ended up in the pie as cubes instead of slices.. but at the end of the day..the apple pie turn out ok..nothing great..but it was an apple pie..hehe..it smelt really good though..
The verdict: So much for our first attempt..but it was fun.. cheers.. |

Hi, Im back! Im sure you dont realise that im away from this blog site for some time *How sad* Anyway, i didnt go for holiday trips or even try abandoning this site. I was just busy with my working life. Im a free labour, you see...And I just finished watching 32 episodes of TVB drama series in 2 days! Gosh..What a marathon! Anyway, while i was away from here, i didnt retire from my kitchen. Occasionally, i made small small things to kill my time and also to fill my tummy. That explains the 'expanding' tummy. My small cousin even touched my tummy and said i had a baby! He is such a bad boy! Alright, back to the main point. Suddenly ..Lately, i had the urge to make cookies. I think making cookies is very fun. Even better than baking cakes or even cooking real meals. Probably because i bought a set of cookie cutters. Hehe.. Let's see what i've got here:
Okay, three types of cookies made in one night, after work. If you know me well, you wouldnt be surprised because when i wanna do something, i wouldnt bother or even care or even think of the consequences if it is not a big matter. So, this was no exception. I eagerly made three types of cookies because i wanted to make all the three types but i couldnt decided which one to make first and so, i ended up with them three.
Its the summer version of orange shortbread. Who says shortbread can only look innocent - only round in shape? They can even look very summer-ish. I think it shapes like coconut trees. Not magic wands; according to one of my friends. Too much of Harry Potter perhaps.
This is the greentea cookies. I haven told you that im a big fan of green tea right? Oh, i love green tea ice-cream! Especially those serve with red bean! yum yum...I love drinking green tea and of course, i love green tea cakes. Green tea flavoured nougat taste great too! I think anything with green tea is very good! Oh ya, someone said the cookies look like cauliflower! Its ice cream in shape!
Lastly, the coffee cookies. Simple. I couldnt decide on coffee or chocolate so i asked my mom to decide for me. She said coffee. Its the wedding bell saped cookie cutter. Well, maybe its not wedding bell. Maybe its school bell. HAha.. Im Lovin' Them... |
